Actress Bynes accused in collision, her third

Actress Amanda Bynes, already facing charges for allegedly hitting a police car while driving drunk, may be in trouble again, accused of striking another vehicle in the San Fernando Valley, police said Friday.

The Los Angeles Police Department’s Valley Traffic Division has completed its investigation into the Aug. 4 incident on Ventura Boulevard, in which a motorist claims a vehicle driven by Bynes rear-ended and damaged her Toyota. The driver said Bynes stopped only briefly, declared there was no damage and drove off.

The collision case is the third incident involving Bynes this year. She was charged with driving under the influence following an April arrest, after she allegedly struck an L.A. County sheriff’s cruiser.

Jonas, wife premiere E! reality show

Viewers who tune into Kevin Jonas’ new reality show with his wife, Danielle, will see a different side of the 24-year-old singer.

On “Married to Jonas,” Kevin jokes about sex and squabbles with Danielle. The show, which premieres Sunday on E!, isn’t about the Jonas brother who wore a purity ring and seemed too good to be true. This time, he seems more relatable.

“Doing a show like this, you kind of have to take it in stride, and we looked at it as an opportunity to show who we are as a couple without them making that decision for us,” said Kevin.

Church to get classic book’s royalties

A relative of the late author Margaret Mitchell is giving the Archdiocese of Atlanta a 50 percent stake in the literary rights to her best-selling novel, “Gone With the Wind.”

The gift includes a 50 percent stake in the trademark to the book and items that belonged to Mitchell.

The bequest was made by Joseph Mitchell, nephew of the late author. Joseph Mitchell, who died in October, was a longtime member of the Cathedral of Christ the King.

Steve Swope, a deacon in the archdiocese who is overseeing the gift, says royalties could be in the “hundreds of thousands” of dollars annually from usage of the book just for productions like ballets and plays.
