Florence went home to be with her Heavenly Father on August 14, 2012 after a brief hospitalization for pneumonia and lung cancer.

She was born Florence Marie Worley on October 25, 1916 in Colville, WA to Roy and Edith Worley.

She is preceded in death by her brother Jack Worley, husband Joseph Gorman and her son Danny Gorman.

She has two surviving children; daughter Judy Daly (Robert) and son Thomas Gorman, both of Spokane; also daughter-in-law Vicki Gorman of Spokane.

She was blessed with six grandchildren; Janet Martin (Steve) Nine Mile Falls, Bill Reynolds (An) and Leah Lee (Robert) both of Mead, Tiel Vogt-Absher (Kerry) Spokane, Noreen Rene Ghorashy (Pasha) Spokane Valley, and Dennis Gorman of Spokane.

There are also 14 great-grandchildren and nine great-great grandchildren.

She graduated from North Central High School in 1934, attended Business College and worked at the Davenport Hotel in a clerical position and Crescent Department Store in Sales.

Some of Flo’s most notable memories were the many summers she spent at the family cabin on Lake Roosevelt in Kettle Falls.

Florence was an artist at heart; she enjoyed painting, playing the organ, and sewing.

In her later years she looked forward to her weekly card games.

She was active in the Women’s Bowling International Congress for league play and as league Secretary/Treasurer and enjoyed bowling until the age of 91.

She was the Matriarch of our family and will be missed but her memories and the lessons she taught us will continue to live on in her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at Heritage Funeral Home, Monday, August 20 from 8:00 am to noon, with a Graveside Service to follow at 1:00 pm at Greenwood Memorial Terrace.
