Richard R. “Dick”

Dick passed away suddenly on August 10, 2012 at the age of 78.

He was born July 17, 1934 to Albert and Mary Hacker in Evanston Illinois, and moved to Spokane Washington in 1948.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years Nancy; his brother Al; his three children, Sue (Justin), Rick (Elaine), and Jimmy (Heather); seven grandchildren - AJ, Andrea, Sean, Kelsey, Terry, Joe and Landon; and one great-grandchild - Tyson; his sister-in-law Stacey (Dave) Hardie and her children Kerry Ann (Luke), Joshua and Kasey.

He was preceded in death by his parents Albert and Mary and one grandchild Zackary.

Dick was a fixture in the irrigation industry working for Polson Company in the early ‘70s, then helped start up Evergreen Pacific Supply in 1974 and United Pipe & Supply in 1989.

Dick served his country in the Navy while stationed in the Philippines.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00am Saturday, August 25th at Woodland Cemetery, Deer Park WA, located west of Hwy.

395 at Crawford Rd.

(Monroe Rd.

).

Following the Memorial in Deer Park, there will be a party in Dick’s honor at the Sons Of Norway located at 6710 North Country Homes Boulevard, Spokane, WA from 2pm - 6pm.
