Gallo blasts pace Indians

Two homers, seven RBIs help Spokane rout T-C

Texas Rangers first-round draft pick Joey Gallo hit his first two home runs with the Indians, including an eighth-inning grand slam, and recorded a career-high seven RBIs in Spokane’s 16-4 Northwest League drubbing of Tri-City on Sunday night at Avista Stadium.

Chris Garia went 4 for 5 and scored four times and Royce Bolinger extended his hitting streak to 20 games with three hits and three RBIs.

Connor Sadzeck (1-3) earned his first professional win, allowing two runs – none earned – on one hit over six innings. He struck out four and walked four.

The Indians and Dust Devils play Game 2 of their three-game series tonight at 6:30.
