82-year-old robbed in Spokane County home

Spokane County Sheriff’s deputies are seeking help identifying two men who reportedly entered the home of an 82-year-old woman today and stole several items. The victim told deputies that two males, between the ages of 17 and 22, entered the home in the 12500 block of East Apache Pass Lane, through a sliding glass door. The two men found the 82-year-old resident in her bedroom. The two males, who stood about 5-foot-8 to 5-foot-10, were wearing shorts and bandanas covering their faces. ”They ordered the victim to lie face down on the ground while they rummaged through the residence,” sheriff’s Deputy Craig Chamberlin said in a news release. The resident later discovered several electronic devices, jewelry and credit cards missing during what Chamberlin described as a home-invasion robbery. Deputies called a Spokane Police K9 unit to the scene, but the police dog was unable to locate the two suspects. Anyone with possible information is asked to call Crime Check at (509) 456-2233.
