“Jerry”(Age 64)

Lifetime member of this community, passed away August 19, 2012 in Hayden, ID.

He was born August 25, 1947 in Kellogg, ID, where he also grew up.

Jerry graduated from Kellogg High School and played on their 1964 Idaho state basketball championship team.

He then attended Pacific Lutheran University, also playing on their basketball and football teams.

He married Sherry A. Baker on November 12, 1965 in Kellogg.

Jerry transferred to the University of Idaho, graduating as a Metallurgical Engineer on May 31, 1970.

The very next day he started work at ALCOA, where he spent his entire 34 year career of dedicated service in various locations.

After his retirement, Jerry worked the next six years doing consulting work for ALCOA.

He was an avid outdoorsman and loved the mountains of Northern Idaho.

Jerry was a member of the Lake City Community Church and had a passion for service to the Post Falls Food Bank.

He also was a fan of University of Tennessee football and Gonzaga basketball, enjoyed playing golf and was a self-taught guitarist.

Jerry also loved the people around him and his family, especially his granddaughters.

He lived his life filled with passion.

Above all, his legacy as a man of God will live on through his family and friends.

He is survived by his loving wife, Sherry Turnbow of Post Falls, ID; son, Tom (wife, Stacey) Turnbow of Liberty Lake, WA; daughter, Traci Turnbow-Biotti of Liberty Lake; parents, Ted and Dorothy Turnbow of Post Falls; brother, Terry Turnbow of Spokane, WA; sister, Pamela McIntyre of Spokane; granddaughters, Taelor, Ashtyn, Reagan, Kelsey and Alexi, as well as several nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, August 24, 2012 at 11AM at Lake City Community Church in Coeur d’Alene, ID.
