In brief: District celebrates construction completion

Rockford – The Freeman School District in Rockford will host a dedication ceremony at 4:30 p.m. Monday to celebrate completion of its newly remodeled elementary school, kindergarten through eighth-grade multipurpose room and the new Palouse Regional Transportation Cooperative.

The event will be at the campus, 14815 to 14917 S. Jackson Road, beginning at 4:30 p.m. with a districtwide barbecue and an open house. At 6:30 p.m., the district will celebrate the dedication of the elementary school and transportation cooperative.

Theater Arts for Children will have girl’s night party

Spokane Valley – Theater Arts for Children will present a Girls’ Night party Saturday from 8 p.m. to midnight.

Girls ages 10 to 18 are invited to wear their favorite pair of pajamas and bring a pillow and a snack to share. Everyone will watch a movie, paint their nails, hang out and enjoy girl time.

The cost to attend is $10 and siblings get a 50 percent discount. The funds will benefit TAC’s stage-building fund. TAC is located at 2114 N. Pines, Suite 3S.
