Obituary: Hamilton, Dwight Scott


HAMILTON, Dwight

Dwight Scott Hamilton, 72, of Rosburg, Washington passed away on August 7, 2012 at his home.

He was born on May 1, 1950 in New York City, New York to parents, Dwight and Helen (Scott) Hamilton.


He graduated from Coeur d’ Alene High School in 1958 and from EWU in 1976.

Dwight married Kathy Ingalls on March 12, 1969 she survives him at home.

He spent three years in the Army serving in Korea.

He worked in Masonry restoration with his dad in New York City, moving to Idaho to work in the same business, he also was a building inspector for several years before he began full time “Mr.

Mom”, doing private land development until 2004 when he moved to Altoona Pillar Rock.

Dwight was compassionate, loving kind animal lover, with many “adopted” children and a tender heart.

He also enjoyed being with his family, fishing, reading Sci-fi, remodeling, woodworking, travel and exploring.

Dwight is also survived by his daughters, Heather McBride, Samantha Hamilton; two brothers, Bob and George Hamilton; a sister, Carol Namchuk; three granddaughters, Marina, Ann and Bella McBride and numerous nieces, nephews.


A Memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Friday, August 31, 2012 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 812 N. 5th, Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho.
