Passed away August 22, 2012.

Hank was born in Everett MA, on April 25, 1922.

He had a twin sister and a total of fifteen siblings - eight girls and seven boys.

He served in the Army during WW II and came home via San Francisco then to a hospital in Spokane, WA.

He met his wife Betty in Spokane, and they were married on March 1, 1944.

He is survived by his wife Betty Garofano; one daughter Sandra Herzog (Terry); one son Gary (Mike) Garofano (Marilyn); four grandchildren, Debbie Ellis, Shane Sims, Michelle Garofano and Michael Garofano (Amy) and two great-grandchildren, Natalie and Zachary Garofano and one sister Gloria Florentine (Fred), Revere MA.

Hank was a dental technician and owned the Sandberg Dental Lab for many years.

He was a charter member and past President of the American Italian Club.

He was especially proud of his Italian heritage.

He loved golfing, fishing, and horseracing and took numerous trips to Reno and Las Vegas with his American Italian Club friends.

He also enjoyed cooking; his family and many friends loved his Italian meals but had difficulty getting his “secret recipes”.

A private family burial is planned.
