Entered into eternal rest in Moses Lake on August 23, 2012.
She was born to Michael and Amelia (Bohnet) Winter on January 6, 1919 in Irby, WA.
In 1941 she married John Greenwalt Jr. and together they raised three boys: Dennis, Michael and Richard.
She spent her life raising her family and caring for their home.
Esther was a lifelong active member of Zion Emanuel Lutheran Church in Odessa, WA; serving as sunday school teacher, in the quilting guild, altar society and various other capacities in the church.
She loved to work in her yard tending to flowers and her vegetable garden.
She is preceded in death by her husband John in 1991, a brother Albert Winter, three sisters: Viola Fode, Pauline Leisle and Dorothy Schafer.
Surviving are her three sons: Dennis of Ritzville, WA, Michael and Richard of Oregon; two brothers: Art Winter and Walt Winter both of Odessa, WA.
Vault Interment will be at 10:00 AM at Odessa Memorial Cemetery on Monday August 27, 2012 with a memorial service following at 11:00 AM at Zion Emanuel Lutheran Church in Odessa, WA.
