National Weather Service forecasters today said they expect sunny weather and seasonable temperatures through the coming holiday weekend. Highs in Spokane should reach the lower 80s on Friday before dropping to the upper 70s on Saturday and Sunday. A warming trend arrives on Monday and continues into next week with highs expected to go from the lower to middle 80s in what is expected to be an unbroken string of sunny weather. The normal high in Spokane for today is 79. Coeur d’Alene could see highs that are a few degrees warmer than Spokane. The only weather problem in the region is a low pressure area in southern British Columbia that could send slightly cooler air southward, which will be reflected by the lows in the upper 70s on Friday and Saturday rather than lower 80s.
