McMorris Rodgers for the rich

If you like your politics wrapped in a lot of red, white and blue, with a military marching band playing in the background, you may like Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers.

If you also like to pay high taxes in order to support an unconstitutional military empire; or if you would like more welfare for the wealthy through lowered taxes, tax breaks and deregulation, with the hope that their massive wealth will eventually trickle down to you; or perhaps you don’t mind visiting your wife, daughter or close female friend in prison for preventing one of her fertilized eggs from implanting in her womb, then you might also like Cathy.

However, if you want a country where freedom and liberty are defined not by the size of our military but by our fairness and justice for all; or where citizenship and voting rights are not tied to the amount of money or property you possess, or whether your last name is Inc.; or where other people’s strongly held religious values are not forced on you, then you may need to look elsewhere for a candidate.

I hope you will.
