Obituary: Loiselle, Elinor Doreen (Sexson)
LOISELLE, Elinor Doreen (Sexson) (Age 89) “Doreen” was born in Spokane, WA to Jess H. Sexson and Verna I. (Dauber ) Sexson on March, 1, 1923 and passed away November 4, 2012 at “A Peaceful Place Adult Family Home” after a very lengthy illness. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Jack Sexson, her husbands Richard Burnham and Leonard Loiselle, her son Mark Burnham and her daughter Linda Johnston. She is survived by her brother Jess Sexson, her grandchildren Afton Burnham, Christopher Johnston and several nieces, nephews and great-grandchildren. In the early 1930’s the family moved to …

(Dauber ) Sexson on March, 1, 1923 and passed away November 4, 2012 at “A Peaceful Place Adult Family Home” after a very lengthy illness. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Jack Sexson, her husbands Richard Burnham and Leonard Loiselle, her son Mark Burnham and her daughter Linda Johnston. She is survived by her brother Jess Sexson, her grandchildren Afton Burnham, Christopher Johnston and several nieces, nephews and great-grandchildren. In the early 1930’s the family moved to Oroville, WA where Doreen graduated from high school. She went on to Washington State College for two years before marriage and moving to several Army Air Force bases with her husband during the war. She remarried and returned to Spokane where she completed her degree in education from Whitworth College. Doreen taught for may years at Lidgerwood Elementary school from which she retired. She was active in civic affairs and the wine club. She authored and published her book “Add Wine - a primer on buying wine and serving it”. A memorial service and celebration of her life will be held at the Whitworth Community Presbyterian Church on Wednesday, December 5, 2012 at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, a contribution may be made to a charity of your choice. Interment of her cremated remains will be at a later date in Riverview Cemetery, Oroville, WA.
