High winds through Sunday
A cold front is passing through bringing very windy and gusty conditions, including southwestern winds around 30 mph with gusts reaching 50 mph.
Wind this strong has the potential to break off tree branches, blow trash cans and lawn furniture around and cause power outages.
Boaters should use extra caution on local lakes and rivers. The water is now so cold hypothermia can set in within minutes.
Winds are expected to decrease after sunset.
