Obituary: Swartz, Betty Mae

SWARTZ, Betty Mae Went to be with her Lord on November 20th, 2012.

Betty was a sweet and gentle soul who loved both her immediate family and close friends in our extended family.

She helped raise her grandchildren and enjoyed her flowers, family pets, family vacations and just being home.

Betty was never wealthy, but always felt rich: she had the most valuable possession of all, the love of those who knew her.

Betty was born to Roy and Theresa Wagner in Spokane Washington on March 22, 1921.

She grew up in Spokane, raised a family here, and eventually earned her LPN certification and worked as a nurse.

Betty is survived by her son Jeff Swartz, daughter Roberta Dean, grandchildren Mya Brooks (Swartz), Holly Swartz, Nick Swartz, Andrea Dean and Allison Kieneker (Dean) and great-grandchildren Tanner and Tyler Brooks, Mason and Peyton Kieneker.

Her son Jim Swartz preceded her in death, as did her brothers Jack, Bob and Don Wagner.

Betty was a very quiet and private person.

To honor her, we are having a small family gathering to say good-bye.

Those who would like to acknowledge her life and passing are encouraged to make a donation to Toys for Tots: children and Christmas were two of her favorite things!

Betty will be missed, but never forgotten.
