Eastwood’s daughter Miss Golden Globe

From Wire Reports

The Hollywood Foreign Press Association has named its newest Miss Golden Globe.

Francesca Eastwood was introduced as the 2013 honoree Thursday. The 19-year-old is the daughter of Hollywood icon Clint Eastwood.

Miss Golden Globe is traditionally the child of a celebrity who is invited to help during the ceremony. Previous honorees include Rumer Willis, Laura Dern and Joely Fisher.

Francesca Eastwood is an actress who also stars with her stepmother, Dina Eastwood, her half-sister, Morgan Eastwood, and the South African boy band Overtone in the E! reality series “Mrs. Eastwood and Company.”

The 70th annual Golden Globe Awards will be held Jan. 13.

Campbell may extend farewell tour

Glen Campbell may be wrapping up a goodbye tour, but that doesn’t mean he’s done with the stage.

Campbell is considering scheduling more shows next year after playing more than 120 dates in 2012.

The 76-year-old singer has Alzheimer’s disease and has begun to lose his memory. He put out his final studio album, “Ghost on the Canvas,” in 2011 and embarked on the tour with family members and close friends serving in his band and staffing the tour.

Campbell’s longtime manager Stan Schneider said in a phone interview from Napa, Calif., where the tour wrapped for the year Friday night, that recent West Coast shows have been some of the singer’s strongest. Campbell will break for the holidays, and if he still feels strong he’ll begin scheduling more shows.

An Indiana man who had the Mitt Romney-Paul Ryan campaign logo tattooed onto his face “to make politics fun” said it’s time for it to come off.

Eric Hartsburg, 30, of Michigan City, Ind., said he plans to have the red-and-blue “R” removed from its prominent place next to his right eye.

He said a Republican supporter paid him $15,000 to get the tattoo and keep it until at least the election was over.

Weeks after President Barack Obama won the election, Hartsburg said, “Now to me it represents not a losing campaign, but a sore losing campaign.”
