Obituary: Crawford, David James

CRAWFORD, David James David James Crawford, a former Prosser resident, entered into rest at his home in Spokane in November, 2012, at the age of 65.

He was born on August 9, 1947 to Donald and Emma (Schaefer) Holmes in Spokane where he was raised and educated through the sixth grade.

He then moved to Prosser and graduated from Prosser High School in 1966.

After attending Columbia Basin College he returned to Spokane where he was stage manager and cinema projectionist at the Spokane Arena.

He also worked for many years in maintenance at Crescent Department Store, which later became Nordstroms.

David enjoyed working on and restoring automobiles.

He loved vintage Chevrolets and fast cars.

He attended Trinity Lutheran Church and was secretary of Theatrical Stage Employees Union.

David is survived by his mother, Emma Holmes of Prosser; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his father Donald Crawford and his step-father, Walter Holmes.

Funeral services will be held on at 11:00 AM on Friday, December 7, 2012 at the Messiah Lutheran Church in Prosser.

Concluding services and burial will follow at the Prosser Cemetery.
