Obituary: Williams, James L. “Willie”

WILLIAMS, James L. “Willie” Our precious father and grandfather, James L. “Willie” Williams, 84, slipped away peacefully on Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at Spokane, Washington.

James was born August 13, 1928 to Vinnie and Daniel Williams at Vinita, Oklahoma.

He served in the United States Navy from 1948-1952 aboard the USS Oriskany (CV34).

In 1990 he retired from Country Boys, Inc., in Ephrata, Washington and moved to Badger Lake in Cheney, Washington to live out his dream of hunting and fishing as much as possible.

He simply loved being outdoors and spending time with his family.

He is greatly loved and will be missed immensely.

James was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel and Vinnie Williams; and his wife, Naomi Williams in 1978.

He is survivied by his companion, Sharon Decker; sons, Bruce Williams and Jordan Williams; and daughters, Lisa Morgan, Danettte Williams, and Jamie Williams; six grandchildren and 10 great- grandchildren.

A family service with full military honors will be held at 11:15 a.m. on Friday, December 7, 2012 at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Medical Lake, Washington.
