The Duchess of Cambridge left a London hospital Thursday after being treated for acute morning sickness related to her pregnancy.

Clutching a small bouquet of yellow roses, the former Kate Middleton smiled and posed briefly for a photograph alongside her husband, Prince William, before leaving King Edward VII Hospital. She stepped delicately into a waiting car.

The couple’s office said she would head to Kensington Palace in London for a period of rest. She had been in the hospital since Monday.

Baldwin arrested for tax dispute

Actor Stephen Baldwin was charged Thursday with failing to pay New York state taxes for three years, amassing a $350,000 debt. Rockland County District Attorney Thomas Zugibe said Baldwin, of Upper Grandview, N.Y., skipped his taxes in 2008, 2009 and 2010.

The youngest of the four acting Baldwin brothers pleaded not guilty at an arraignment and was freed without bail. His lawyer, Russell Yankwitt, said Baldwin should not have been charged.

The district attorney said Baldwin could face up to four years in prison if convicted. The actor is due back in court on Feb. 5.

Williams skips Seattle arraignment

Comedian Katt Williams didn’t show up at an arraignment hearing in Seattle on Thursday to face assault charges stemming from several run-ins with people and police last weekend.

Williams’ attorney, Thomas McAllister, told the judge that his client was under the impression that he didn’t have to attend the hearing, citing information from a Seattle Times article. McAllister said Williams is back in California. The Times reported that the judge rescheduled the hearing for next week.

Authorities say Williams struck a man over the head with a microphone while performing Friday night, threw chairs at fans, and threatened a bar manager with a pool cue over the weekend.
