“The Intouchables” - An irreverent, uplifting comedy about friendship, trust and human possibility, “The Intouchables” has broken box office records in its native France and across Europe. Based on a true story of a life-changing friendship between a handicap millionaire (Francois Cluzet) and his street smart ex-con caretaker (Omar Sy), the film depicts an unlikely camaraderie rooted in honesty and humor between two individuals who, on the surface, would seem to have nothing in common. “The House I Live In” - Showing hosted by the Spokane Smart Justice Campaign, followed by a short discussion facilitated by the campaign featuring the Rev. Percy “Happy” Watkins of Spokane’s New Hope Baptist Church. “The Merry Graingers” Premiere - Film about a family that loves one another but can’t stand each other. Written, produced and directed by Serena Belsby, co-produced by Linda Kee and edited by local Jason McKee. Local cast includes Ian Kelley, McKenzie Mayra, Leslie Spencer, Randy Weatherbee, Brent Belsby and Tenaya Belsby. Filmed in the Spokane region, this Christmas family dramedy has a mysterious death, a feisty city girl, a Cuban lover and dysfunctional quirky family all thrown together deep in the heart of the Palouse.
