Idaho should secede

Just wondering, did anyone else notice the similarity of the stories in the Dec. 1 issue of The Spokesman-Review regarding Idaho politics?

First was Shawn Vestal’s column relating to taco truck protester Shaun Winkler’s attempt to reconstruct a neo-Nazi compound in North Idaho. Winkler actually got nearly 200 votes in his run for Bonner County sheriff earlier this year.

Then comes the story of legislator Phil Hart and his ridiculous, continuous tax evasion antics. The same page revealed a story that the new Idaho Legislature will be required to receive ethics training next year. What?

Really, Idaho should just secede from the rest of the states. That way they could govern themselves in the seemingly racist, unethical, tax-evasive methods for which they appear notorious.
