Obituary: Lindskog, Walter Edwin

LINDSKOG, Walter Edwin (Age 92) A longtime resident of Spokane, WA and of Tygh Valley, OR the past ten years, died at his home on Sunday, December 2, 2012.

He was born in Spokane, WA on March 15, 1920 the second child of three to Nels and Signe (Johnson) Lindskog.

He grew up in Four Mound and graduated from North Central High School in Spokane, WA.

He served in the U.S. Army as a TSgt E-5 during World War II.

Walter married Gladys Jean Dalrymple on August 30, 1941.

He worked as a heavy truck mechanic for over forty years, retiring in 1982.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowmobiling and four wheeling and was a member of The Eagles Club.

He survived by his daughter, Sheryl Casselman Bird of Tygh Valley, OR and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys, parents and brothers William and Clifford.

Memorial service will be held, Thursday, December 13, 2012 at 12:30p.m., Fairmount Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel in Spokane, WA.
