Homicide suspect spotted in Ellensburg
Authorities say the man suspected in the strangling death of a Spokane woman was spotted Monday in Ellensburg.
Tony Callihan, who police say should be considered extremely dangerous, was seen stealing gas from a Central Washington University maintenance truck, according to Spokane police.
He is a suspect in the Dec. 7 slaying of 48-year-old Michelle Koenen in the West Central neighborhood.
Callihan is driving Koenen’s 2000 Dodge Stratus with Washington plate number 474 WRH. The car is sea-foam green, but appears gray.

A Spokane police detective has a search warrant for the vehicle, as well as Callihan’s person, including his possessions, clothing and DNA.
Police say anyone who sees Callihan or the vehicle should immediately call 911.
