Obituary: Mann, Howard R.

MANN, Howard R. (Age 94) Of Hayden Lake, ID, beloved father and grandfather, passed away after a short illness on December 8, 2012.

He was born in Helena, MT to Charles and Lola Mann.

Howard attended school in Cheney, WA where he met Margaret V. Graham who was the love of his life.

Howard and Margaret were married 70 years and dated four years before their marriage.

They started their married life in Cheney and Spokane, WA and then moved to Coeur d’Alene, ID where Howard joined the family business.

Howard was a partner at Pepsi Cola Mann Bottling Plant with his father Charles and brother Clyde until his retirement.

Upon retiring Howard and Margaret moved to his dream home on Lake Cocolalla where he enjoyed many hours of tinkering and puttering.

Howard was a lifelong member of the First Christian Church.

He enjoyed vacationing with his family, his vintage Metropolitans and having coffee at the Mall.

Howard was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Margaret, brother Clyde and granddaughter Kelly Erwin.

Howard is survived by his daughters: Lyndell (Leland) Erwin, Jeanette (Robert) Branson, grandsons: Shane Gregory and Jim Erwin, granddaughter Monica (Jason) McLean, four great-grandchildren: Nathan Gregory, Cole Erwin, Ireland McLean and April McLean.

A memorial service will be held at 2pm Saturday December 15th at The Four Seasons Assisted Living (Spring Cottage) located at Fourth St. and Dalton Ave.
