Obituary: Orr-Kerl, Lola Irene

ORR-KERL, Lola Irene Lola Irene (Willoughby) (Maund) Orr-Kerl, 95.

Born in St. John, WA, March 4, 1917.

Entered into rest December 11, 2012, in Spokane Valley, Washington.

Lola moved to Spokane in approximately 1943.

She was a homemaker most of her life and enjoyed dancing, camping, berry picking, canning, flowers, sewing, crocheting, embroidery, bingo, yard sales, McDonald’s and driving her car.

Survived by daughters Marilyn M. Barrett of Spokane, WA, and Carol Ann (Weldon R. “Dutch”) Wolfe of Loon Lake, WA.

; step-daughter Karen (Thomas) Newton of Eureka, CA; six grandchildren, James P. (Barbara) Barrett, Timothy B. Barrett (fiancee’ Maria Amistad), Kenneth A. Barrett (fiancee’ Joanie Marsh), Matthew D. (Lynn) Barrett, Kathleen Sue (Thomas) French, and Christine M. (William) Gamble; 13 great-grandchildren, five great-great-grand- children; sisters Eleanor “Tiny” Brouse, and Geraldine “Geri” Holcomb; numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by her father Elry Carson Willoughby, mother Mary Rosetta “Rose” (Judson) Willoughby, husband of 49-1/2 years Orville J.

“Buster” Maund in 1986, husband of 6 years Horace Giffin “Mose” Orr in 1993, husband of six years Ted R. Kerl in 2005, infant daughter Mary Mildred a/k/a Ethel Rose Maund in 1940, and sisters Lois Lisenbee in 2010, Maxine Knight in 2010, and Dorothy M. Haugan in 1997.

A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, December 14th, at 2:00 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home, Pastor Sandy Brockway officiating.

Interment at Greenwood Memorial Terrace.

There will be a potluck gathering for family and friends immediately following at Westminster Presbyterian Church, W. 2705 Boone Avenue.

Visitation Thursday 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. A special thank you to Family Home Care and Hospice - Spokane.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her behalf to the Salvation Army.
