Obituary: Rogers, Carl

ROGERS, Carl (Age 73) March 9, 1939 - December 9, 2012 Carl was born in Buford, Georgia on March 9, 1939 to Mary and John Worth Rogers.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Johnny, and sister Gail.

He is survived by his sister Pat Williams of Canton, Georgia.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years Karen Rogers; daughter, Kathy Rogers Brown (Steve) of Reno, Nevada; son, Scott Rogers of Spokane WA, and daughter, Carla Rogers Singleton (Dave) of Spokane WA, seven grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

Carl “Jolly” graduated from City University and served in the Air Force over 20 years.

Carl later worked in sales with Music Vend and Cummings Allison.

He retired in 2004.

He was involved in Kiwanis and was an Elder and Member of Opportunity Christian Church.

He had a servant’s heart and was always helping those in need, but first and foremost was his family.

A memorial service and celebration of Carl’s life will be held at Opportunity Christian Church at 708 North Pines, Spokane Valley on December 15, 2012 at 2 pm.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to Spokane Hospice House (P.O.Box 2215 Spokane, WA 99210-2215), Opportunity Christian Church (708 North Pines Spokane Valley, WA 99206) or a charity of your choice in gift or service.
