Larson on soccer A-A third team
Whitworth men’s soccer defender Balin Larson was selected to the D3soccer.com All-America third team.
Larson, a first team All-Northwest Conference selection, anchored a Pirates defense that posted 13 shutouts.
Larson was selected as NWC Defensive Player of the Week twice this season.
The Pirates finished 13-3-3 and advanced to the NCAA Division III tournament for the seventh time in school history.
Junior hockey
The Revelstoke Grizzlies (15-11-3-1) scored six goals through the final two periods and blanked the Spokane Braves (11-18-1-1) 7-0 in KIJHL action in Revelstoke, British Columbia.
