BENNETT, Patsy Ann (Age 68) Passed away suddenly at Sacred Heart in the early hours December 10th, 2012 surrounded by her family due to compli-cations after receiving a stem-cell transplant to treat Multiple Myeloma cancer. Born in Orville, WA on March 4, 1944 to Augusta and Henry Sevey. She is preceded in death by her father, mother and siblings: Chuck, Jim, Tom and Isabelle. BENNETT, Patsy Ann (Age 68) Passed away suddenly at Sacred Heart in the early hours December 10th, 2012 surrounded by her family due to compli-cations after receiving a stem-cell transplant to treat Multiple Myeloma cancer. Born in Orville, WA on March 4, 1944 to Augusta and Henry Sevey. She is preceded in death by her father, mother and siblings: Chuck, Jim, Tom and Isabelle. Patsy is survived by her husband Larry, five children together with their spouses: Leslie and (Royal) Hehr, Debbie and (Dan) Williams, Lawrence (Larry) Bennett Jr. and (Karen), Mary and (Jeff) King, and Michelle and (Darrell) Diamond. In addition, she is lovingly remembered by 14 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren. Patsy met her one and only love ~Lawrence (Larry) Bennett Sr. in Addy, WA in the early spring of 1960 and were married shortly thereafter on July 1st, just days prior to Larry’s departure to serve in the U.S. Navy. This summer they celebrated their 52nd wedding anniversary on Lake Roosevelt where they boated and enjoyed the atmosphere of friends and family for over 30 years. Patsy retired in 2000 from Sacred Heart Medical Center so she and Larry could take long winter trips to their home in Yuma, AZ where they planned on spending the rest of their retirement years. A dedicated wife, mother and grandmother; her family affectionately referred to her as “grandma buddy”. Patsy will be remembered forever for her contagious laugh, but her family will never forget her strength and courage as she faced the past few years with so much gusto and determination. An Open House and celebration of life will be Saturday, December 15th from Noon-5:00pm at the home of daughter Mary and husband Jeff in Spokane Valley where they have lived and called home the past six months while undergoing treatment. In Lieu of cards and flowers, the family requests a donation be made to St. Jude Children Hospital in Patsy’s memory.
