Age 77

JOHNSON, Richard J.

“Dick” (Age 77) Passed away December 11, 2012 in Spokane Valley, WA.

He was born August 6, 1935 in Almora, MN, where he grew up.

Dick served in the U.S. Army.

He then married Dorothy Quaale on June 24, 1961 and had two children.

Dick retired in 2001 from District 81 Schools and was a member of the Spokane Valley Eagles.

He has enjoyed time with his many friends at Last Lap Bar and Grill and loved going on drives.

Dick also enjoyed Nascar and following the Minnesota Vikings and Twins.

In his spare time he enjoyed playing games and looking up old friends on his computer.

Dick is survived by his son, Dan (Cindy) Johnson of Spokane Valley; daughter, Shelly (Greg) Baggarley of Otis Orchards, WA; sister, Susan (Frank) Hernandez; four grandchildren, David and Craig Johnson of Spokane Valley and Amanda and Nick Baggarley of Otis Orchards; step-grandchildren, Brianne Stansberry and Tristen Booth; six great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 39 years, Dorothy Johnson and parents, Richard L. and Myrtle A. Johnson.

A memorial gathering will be held Sunday, December 16, 2012 at 3 PM at Last Lap Bar and Grill, 13524 E. Sprague Ave, Spokane Valley, WA.
