High winds expected Monday

The National Weather Service has issued a high wind warning for the Spokane/Coeur d’Alene area starting at 4 a.m. Monday. Winds brought in by a Pacific storm are expected to be between 35 to 45 miles per hour with gusts of up to 55 miles per hour. The advisory also includes Cheney, Davenport, Rockford, Moses Lake, Ephrata, Hayden, Worley, Lewiston and the Washington and Idaho Palouse. The warning advises caution for “high profile” vehicles that may tip in high winds. The winds should die down after sunset. The warning will expire at 6 p.m. Monday.
