Obituary: Murphy, Lynne C.
Age 67
She was born in Spokane on October 5, 1945, to William and Betty (Moe) Vogt.
Lynne was raised in Spokane Valley, attending Trent Elementary and graduating from University High School in 1964.
She was a member of the first graduating class from the newly built U-High and was very proud when telling people she was part of that special group.
After graduation she spent her summer breaks from college traveling through Europe and visiting her parents in Ghana, where her father was employed.
She spent the next 40 years living in the Seattle area raising her daughter Jaime and in 1991, marrying the love of her life, Bruce Murphy.
In the summer of 2005, she returned to Spokane where Bruce passed away in 2009 from ALS.
Lynne was preceded in death by her husband Bruce, parents Betty and Bill Vogt and sister Sharon Vogt.
She is survived by her daughter Jaime L. Armstrong, stepsons Joshua and Jason Murphy, niece Kim Campbell and children.
She also leaves many friends in Seattle and Spokane and special friend Bonnie, in Sonora, CA.
At Lynne’s request there will be no services; however, her friends will gather in the Spring for breakfast (which was her favorite meal) to remember her.
