Here’s the Dirt: Texas Boots opens new store

Texas Boots opens new store

The business name says it all, partner.

H.A.V. Famous Texas Boots, which opened Dec. 1 at 9502 N. Highway 2 in north Spokane, carries about 2,000 pairs of boots.

Nearly all of them come straight from the Lone Star State.

The new boots store is a North Side alternative version of H.AV. Western Wear, a Spokane Valley retailer.

Vikki Hoskins owns both businesses. H.A.V. Western Wear’s origins in Spokane go back six decades.

The new store has roughly 1,500 square feet. The location is a former Blockbuster Video store in the NorthPointe shopping mall.

Most of the store’s inventory comes from Justin Boots, one of the most successful U.S. shoe companies. It’s based in Fort Worth, Texas, and is a part of Warren Buffet’s Berkshire Hathaway family.

Billing software company moves

Spokane-based Stanford Technology, which develops medical billing software, has relocated its downtown offices onto the third floor of the Northbank Building, 1010 N. Normandie St.

The new office comes to about 2,500 square feet. Previously, the company’s workers were spread over three floors in the same building.

Mike King of NAI Black brokered the new lease for Stanford.

Concrete firm plans to expand

Concrete contractor Cameron-Reilly LLC has purchased three acres that include an office building and shop at 309 N. Park Road in Spokane Valley.

The land and two buildings were purchased from Central Pre Mix, which operates next door. The existing shop comes to 7,500 square feet.

The addition will add 3,000 square feet to the existing office building. It’s due to be finished in spring 2013.

That addition will be designed to resemble a residential home to showcase concrete porches, sidewalks, driveways, architectural retaining walls, and other structures.

Cameron-Reilly will be general contractor.
