Wake up, Christians

On Dec. 7, I had the pleasure of hearing a quartet of carolers in the STA Plaza. Dressed in top hats and velvet, they sounded professional enough to go up against any barbershop or choir anywhere. They reminded me of a time when we were still “one nation under God.”

According to the 2010 Census, 86 percent of Americans still call themselves Christians. However, the fact that gays are now allowed to make a mockery of marriage seems to contradict this data. It would appear that many professed Christians no longer associate believing in Christ with living for Him. Otherwise, the same-sex marriage referendum would have failed.

I would strongly urge my fellow Christians to wake up before it’s too late. We cannot continue to live this indulgent and materialistic lifestyle and expect God to protect us. Even God’s patience has a limit. Don’t be the reason for his judgment. Remember I Chronicles 7:14 says that God will spare a nation if its believers repent and pray.
