TRUE, Patricia Jean “Patty” Patricia Jean True “Patty” beloved by all around her, passed away peacefully in her home, surrounded by loved ones on December 15, 2012 of ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease). Patty was 82 and a native to the Washington area. Patty was born in Spokane, WA December 28th, 1929. TRUE, Patricia Jean “Patty” Patricia Jean True “Patty” beloved by all around her, passed away peacefully in her home, surrounded by loved ones on December 15, 2012 of ALS (Lou Gehrig’s Disease). Patty was 82 and a native to the Washington area. Patty was born in Spokane, WA December 28th, 1929. She attended Lewis and Clark High School, Spokane, WA and the University of Washington, a member of Gamma Phi Beta. Patty was married in 1950 to Cecil True and later moved to Mercer Island in 1959 and together they created the business, Gull Industries. Patty was a devoted philanthropist, volunteering for the Seattle YWCA, Planned Parenthood, Mercer Island Youth and Family Services, Overlake Hospital, MS Society and the founding member of the True Family Women’s Cancer Center at the Swedish Medical Center. Patty was also an avid reader, horse-racing enthusiast, and world wide traveler. Patty is survived by her two sons, Doug (Janet) and Bill (Ruth), her seven grandchildren, Dustin (Stephanie), Peter (fiancĂŠJacqueline Barton), Effie (Kevin Gleason), Kimberly, Erin Wright, Claire Wright, Sophie, and two nephews Scott MacKay (Rani) and Mike MacKay (Debra). Patty was precdeceased by her husband Cecil (1990) and her sister Mary Ann (2007) A celebration of her life will be held at Western Bridge, 3412 4th Ave South, Seattle, WA. The ceremony will be held Monday, December 17th at 5 pm. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Swedish Medical Center Foundation. Our Great appreciation and gratitude to the Swedish Medical Center Foundation and Swedish Hospital staff for all the loving care she received. Also to Nikki Daza, Heidi Stein, Linda and Hanan a special thank you to you all for your dedication and warm support of Patty.
