BURNS, Nancy A. On December 18, 2011 Nancy A. Burns passed away after 83 years of life. She is remembered for her helpful, energetic kindness. As an RN she has performed many acts of helpfulness. Her husband and John P. Burns, love of her life, passed away in 1985. She had stoutly followed him to the many different jobs though out the country. She rescued an injured worker on the cliffs overlooking Glen Canyon Dam in Paige, AZ, by riding in an empty powder box hooked to a crane. BURNS, Nancy A. On December 18, 2011 Nancy A. Burns passed away after 83 years of life. She is remembered for her helpful, energetic kindness. As an RN she has performed many acts of helpfulness. Her husband and John P. Burns, love of her life, passed away in 1985. She had stoutly followed him to the many different jobs though out the country. She rescued an injured worker on the cliffs overlooking Glen Canyon Dam in Paige, AZ, by riding in an empty powder box hooked to a crane. She provided health surveys and necessary inoculations in the poor sections of Chattanooga, TN. She is survived by five sons: Patrick F. born in Goldendale, CO, Daniel F. born in Leadville CO. which is over 10,000 ft in elevation, John P. and Carl P. born in Butte, MT, and Stanley P. born in Bellingham, WA, and her sister Donna Cozza and sister in law Alice Larson both of Spokane, WA. Dad would get a job and mom would follow carting five kids, at least one dog and a cat for many new adventures. The second time to Leadville, Co, Mom maintained camp for a month until an apartment opened up and school started. Her concern for her children continued to her death as she made sure her five sons were ok and safe. Probably her only disdain was how the Mariners kept losing the clutch play.
