Rodriguez leads Gar-Pal to win

Lexi Rodriguez scored 17 points as Garfield-Palouse overcame a slow start to collect its first girls basketball victory of the season, 35-29 over Liberty Christian in a Southeast 1B League game Monday in Richland.

Sarah Croskrey had two 3-pointers and 12 points to lead LC (1-3, 1-3). Gar-Pal is 1-6, 1-3.

Nonleague

Wellpinit 57, Upper Columbia Academy 24: The Redskins broke open a tie game after one quarter and cruised to the road victory. Kyra Antone had 15 points and 10 rebounds and Dani Flett nine points and 15 assists to lead Wellpinit (3-4).

Nonleague boys

Wellpinit 70, Upper Columbia Academy 46: AJ Kieffer led three Redskins in double figures with 30 points, and also had 10 rebounds, in the road victory.

Brodie Ford added 14 points and 16 rebounds and Honey Brown had 10 points for Wellpinit (5-1).
