Obituary: Thom, Pearl E.

THOM, Pearl E. (Age 79) With sorrow and much love we bid goodbye to Pearl Thom, born August 11, 1933 to Ralph and Mildred Krick of Deer Park, WA.

She married LeRoy Thom on February 9, 1952 and together they built and operated Willow Bay Resort on Long Lake, near Spokane, where they raised their son, Herb, and gave the family many happy memories.

Two other children died in infancy but were remembered in her heart.

An independent spirit, after her divorce she retired from Ma Bell after a long career and returned to Spokane from Oregon, gladdening all the family who live here.

She loved to travel, she laughed often, and she made us laugh, too, despite losing prematurely to death her son, her mother, her beloved stepfather Herbert Bolich, and her brothers Glenn and Philip Bolich.

Pearl is survived by seven nieces and nephews, three granddaughters, a great-grandson, and many friends.

Her joy in life will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

RIPLINGER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY SPOKANE, WA assisting the family.
