Obituary: Truitt, Ssg James W.

James W. (Age 30) Passed away on December 14, 2012 in Savannah, GA. Jimmy was born on March 3, 1982 to James and Evelyn Truitt in Tampa, FL.

Jimmy joined the Army in 2003 and was honored as the Divisional Soldier of the Year and was a member of the Audie Murphy Club.

He was a helicopter mechanic and served two tours in Iraq.

Jimmy graduated from Shadle Park High School in 2001.

He is survived by his mother, Evelyn Truitt; sister, Melissa S. (Joshua) Burris; nephew, Seth; nieces, Emma and Kathryn, all of Spokane; Aunt and Uncle Susan and Frank Alberts of Roy, UT and Uncle Jeffrey Truitt of Lake Park, GA.

He was preceded in death by his father, James F. Truitt; maternal grandfather, Ret.

MSgt Wayne Walters and paternal grandparents, Frank and Alma Truitt.

A Graveside Service will be held at 2:15 pm on Thursday, December 26, 2012 at the Washington State Veteran’s Cemetery in Medical Lake, WA.
