ZACHER, Robert J.

“Bob” (Age 91) Passed away December 19, 2012.

He was born March 12, 1921 to John and Delma (Olson) Zacher in Spokane, WA.

Bob graduated from North Central High School in 1939 and then served in the army during WWII as a staff sergeant and medic from 1942-46.

In 1949 he married Frances Anne Gallagher.

Bob had a 37-year career in banking with Seattle First National Bank, which is now Bank of America.

Bob and Fran started a family in Richland before moving to Odessa and eventually returning back to Spokane in 1974.

Bob retired as manager of the Security Branch on Broadway and Monroe in 1982.

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife Frances (1999).

He is survived by his children Karl (Nancy), Jennifer (Gary), Tom and Dave; ten grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.

Bob was an active bowler, member of Chamber of Commerce, BOF, Kiwanis, Lions Club, NRA, and VFW.

He was generous and contributed to many charitable organizations.

Bob and Fran enjoyed dancing, photography, taking family vacations, and going to the lake.
