No one hurt in early morning blaze

Staff reports
A fire the morning of Christmas Eve forced a family out of their home in West Spokane off of Sunset Boulevard and caused about $20,000 worth of damage. The family escaped unharmed after smoke detectors sounded around 3:15 a.m., according to a news release from the Spokane Fire Department. The release said flames were visible through a window when firefighters arrived on scene at 3218 W. Rosamond Ave. One bedroom was destroyed and the entire house was damaged by smoke. A cause is still under investigation.
