Obituary: Dewey, Robert Curtis

DEWEY Robert Curtis (Age 84) Passed away December 25, 2012, in Spokane, WA.

Robert, the youngest of nine children, was born and raised in Moscow, ID.

He graduated from high school in Moscow in 1946.

Robert honorably served in the U.S. Army from 1948-1951, seeing action during the Korean Conflict in the Battle of the Chosin Reservoir.

Following his discharge, Robert began working for Western Electric, from which he retired in 1986.

On June 5, 1955, Robert and Corrine Wolff were married.

Robert enjoyed working on computers and volunteered at S.C.O.P.E.

and the Spokane Library.

He liked to travel and research genealogy.

Robert is survived by his wife of 57 and one-half years, Corrine Dewey; children, Curtis Dewey of San Antonio, TX, Laurel (Tim) Bender of Moses Lake, WA, Craig Dewey of Spokane, Chuck (Kim) Dewey of Nine Mile Falls, WA, and Clinton (Amy) Dewey of Spokane; brother, Keith Dewey of Coeur d’Alene; 13 grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, four brothers, and daughter, Loris Dewey.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 29, 2012, at 2 PM at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 6905 N. Country Homes Blvd., Spokane.
