Braves fall to Nelson Leafs
Brandon Sookro and Dallon Stoddart scored third-period goals to lift the Nelson Leafs past the Spokane Braves 3-1 in KIJHL action in Nelson, B.C., on Friday night.
Dylan Tappe opened the scoring for the Braves at 9:14 of the first period, but that would be all Spokane would get.

Women’s golf
Gonzaga freshman Raychelle Santos shot a 2-under 70 and is tied for second place after the first round of the Joanne Winter Arizona Silver Belle Championship in Tempe, Ariz.
