Former Louisville forward Angel Nunez has committed to Gonzaga, The Spokesman-Review has learned. Nunez, a 6-foot-8, 200-pounder from Washington Heights, N.Y., left Louisville’s program earlier this month.
Nunez, who attended GU’s game Friday, didn’t play in a game this season. He was sidelined by a stomach virus during the preseason and then suffered a concussion in a November practice.
Nunez played in 12 games last season as a freshman, scoring 24 points. Nunez was ranked among the top 35 high school small forwards by two scouting services.
