Wade defends contact

Dwyane Wade is ready to move on after being suspended for Friday night’s game at Detroit. The Miami guard was given a one-game ban by the NBA for flailing his leg and making contact with the groin of the Charlotte Bobcats’ Ramon Sessions (at right in photo). The incident happened during the Heat’s 105-92 victory over the Bobcats on Wednesday. “You’d kind of have to be there,” Wade said at Friday’s shootaround, noting the incident “could be taken any kind of way.” He tweeted Thursday that he’s not a dirty player and just reacted to contact. Wade (left) said he hoped he’d be able to watch the game against the Pistons on TV. He quipped that he needed to get NBA League Pass on his mobile phone but “it was expensive the last time I checked.” – Associated Press
