Obituary: Ellis, Phyllis Jean

ELLIS, Phyllis Jean Phyllis Jean Ellis was born in St. John, Washington on June 15, 1920 to Moses and Mina Ingram.

She graduated from St. John High School and attended Washington State College in Pullman where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Home Economics in 1942.

She married Richard H. Ellis of Rosalia in 1942.

They were happily married for over 70 years and enjoyed a wonderful life together.

Some of her special interests were: gardening, painting, needlepoint, decorating, cooking, traveling, music, dancing, swimming, ceramics, bridge, various clubs, organizations, volunteer activities and going to the lake.

Most important to her were her family, friends and her faith in the Lord.

She passed away peacefully in her sleep on Christmas morning, December 25, 2012 at Fairfield Care in Fairfield, WA.

She is survived by her husband, one daughter, one son, three grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, a twin sister, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and relatives.

The family wishes to thank all her caregivers and people who helped her over the past years.

Inurnment will be at the Thornton Cemetery in Thornton, WA.

A memorial service celebrating her life will be held at a later date.
