Obituary: Hensley, Joe

HENSLEY, Joe Loving partner, father, grandfather and best friend to numerous people.

Joe was born on February 10, 1947 to Willy and Myrtle Hensley and passed away on December 26, 2012.

He was born and raised in Williamstown, Kentucky and enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in 1965.

Joe was stationed at Fairchild Air Force Base and was honorably discharged in 1969.

He was a truck driver by trade, a profession which he really enjoyed.

Joe worked for Jensen Byrd for over 20 years and had many stories to tell.

He is survived by his brothers; Bill Hensley, Henry Hensley and James Baily, sisters; Ilene Janos, Claudia DeWalt, Vera Blevins, and Gladys Faul, longtime girlfriend; Jessie Hawk, and his children; Nate, Stephanie, Justis Hawk, Jeffery Deardorff, Susan Nick, and Kevin Sams.

Joe was a great man and will be truly missed by many!

A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 4, 2013 at 2:00 pm at the Sunset Chapel, Fairmount Memorial Park - 5200 W. Wellesley, Spokane, WA 99205.

There will be a gathering with food and friends following the service at the VFW Post 51 - 300 West Mission.
