Mary was born on May 30, 1926 in Maher, CO to Everett Harrison Briggs and Josephine Frances Flynn.
Mary was a long-time Spokane resident.
She attended high school in Colorado and retired from Decorative Services in Spokane after a long career as a seamstress.
Mary cherished spending time with family and friends who enjoyed her great sense of humor.
She loved camping and fulfilled her dream of traveling.
She is survived by two sisters, Florence Reed of Naples, Idaho, and Maxine Burch of Delta, Colo., and was preceded in death by one sister and four brothers.
She is also survived by two daughters, Mary Lemon of Spokane and Teresa Russell of Umatilla, Ore., and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at Heritage Funeral Home on Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2013, at 11 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting contributions toward Mary’s headstone.
