Puttin’ on the Ritz - New Year’s Eve benefit by the Spokane Symphony. Dancing to live music from MasterClass Jazz Orchestra, hors d’oeuvres, toast at midnight and more. Black tie preferred. Christian Youth Theater – North Idaho “Play in a Day” - This event is free to children ages of 10-18. All participants are asked to sign up online prior to the event at the CYT-NI website. This year’s show will be an original musical written by Chill Bucket Productions called “Villain Idol.” This show pits classic villains from the stage and screen against classic fairytale characters in a singing competition. Funds are raised through ticket sales to the performance on Thursday, at 7:30 p.m. Salvation Army Kroc Center, 1756 W. Golf Course Road, Coeur d’Alene. Performance tickets: $10/advance; $15/door.

Theater Arts for Children Fundraiser - A silent auction and buffet to help raise money for the theater. Beverages included with buffet; wine and beer may be purchased separately. Scottish Gala - Robert Burns Supper & Dance - A Scottish gala celebrating the life of Scotland’s poet Robert Burns. The evening will consist of dinner, traditional haggis ceremony, poetry reading, a no-host bar (includes a fine selection of single malt scotch), bagpipe bands, Highland dancing, Scottish Country dancing, and live ceilidh music.
