Gaels’ Dellavedova sets career 3-pointer record

Matthew Dellavedova set the school record for career 3-pointers and scored 24 points to lead Saint Mary’s to a 78-62 win over Yale on Sunday in Moraga, Calif. Dellavedova, who was 4 of 6 from 3-point range, became the school’s all-time leader in 3-pointers made. He also had six assists. Dellavedova now has 239 3-pointers, one more than David Sivulich’s previous record of 238. Brad Waldow had 10 points and eight rebounds for Saint Mary’s. Beau Levesque and Jorden Page had 10 points apiece for the Gaels (10-3). The Gaels led 40-30 at halftime. The Gaels shot 51.8 percent from the field for the game, while Yale shot 33.8 percent.
