Obituary: Hoffman, Margaret A.

HOFFMAN, Margaret A. Margaret A. Hoffman (Johnson) was born on June 24, 1913 to Frank and Bertha Johnson and she entered into rest on December 23, 2012 at the age of 99 Ă‚Ë?

years of age.

Margaret attended Pleasant Prairie and Logan grade schools, and graduated from North Central High School.

She worked as a waitress and later retired from the Spokesman-Review.

Margaret was an active member of the Eagles, and supported her husband in the Masonic Temple.

Bowling, gardening (especially irises), playing cards with friends, dancing, and cooking were among her favorite pastimes.

Margaret was preceded in death by the love of her life, Ozzie; daughter, Judy Popp; stepson, Bill Groth; brothers, Maynard, Chester, Ralph, Johnny; and her sister, Betty.

She is survived by daughters, Barbara Johnson of Newtown, CT and Margaret Reid of Spokane; son, Bruce (Nicki) Reid of Loon Lake; daughter-in-law, Sally Groth; a large extended family, including grandchildren, great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.

The family wishes to thank Twilight Manor and Horizon Hospice for their exceptional care of Mom.

“Mom was always the “life” of any gathering and a bright spot in the lives of everyone.

We are forever thankful for whom you were and will miss you.”
